UKAS Accreditation Upgraded

We are very pleased and proud to announce that OptiConsulting now has upgraded and additional UKAS accreditation for the calibration of PTP/Testworks VADER and MiniVADER systems for the testing of visual alarm beacons to EN54-23 and for the generic optical testing of colour (chromaticity), luminous intensity, luminous intensity distribution and luminance.

This is in addition to the provision of optical testing services for BS EN 12966 Variable Message Signs (both 2005 and 2014) and BS EN 12368 (both 2015 and 2024) Road Traffic Signals which were already UKAS accredited.

Also added to our UKAS accreditation is the measurement of generic optical properties of chromaticity, luminous intensity, luminous intensity distribution and luminance.

We have made this investment to further increase confidence in our testing and calibration, and to make our test reports useful for CE/CA Marking purposes.

OptiConsulting at the 5th Level Crossing Innovation Day 'LXID21'

OptiConsulting was delighted to exhibit at the 5^th Level Crossing Innovation Day ‘LXID21’ at the National Railway Museum in York.

The event was well organised and attended, and we enjoyed a day of interesting discussions centred around innovation.

OptiConsulting New Mini-Turntable

Under our continual improvement programme, we used some of our lockdown time to develop a semi-automated turntable system.

This will typically be used for the optical measurement of smaller test samples such as individual LEDs, small LED modules, small signal units, EPIRBs to IEC61097 and maritime samples to MSC.81(70).
